You can't wait to try a new style you keep seeing pop up all over social media, when you hear those dreaded words, "Your item is on backorder!". Adding insult to injury, this is the season when we are more conscious of our appearance as we get ready for family gatherings, parties, and lots of picture-taking!

So let's start with the basics, as some of you may be wondering, what is a backorder? It simply means your item is currently unavailable with the manufacturer, and there will be a wait time until it is back in their stock and available for ordering and shipping.

So, what causes a backorder? There are an assortment of reasons that can lead up to an item being unavailable. Starting with factors overseas, it could be due to a package being held up during customs, or shipping. It could also be an item that has an unexpected high demand, and they are having a hard time producing them as fast as consumers are wanting them.

So, what can be done? Unfortunately, there is not a lot that can be done to speed up the backorder process (as wigs can take a while to make!). This is why we suggest stocking up on your favorite styles when possible. This will help tide you over, if you do end up on a waiting list.
