Is Peppermint the answer to Noriko's Jackson?

Ever since I spotted Noriko's Jackson wig I knew it was the perfect style, shape, & cut for me. However, I learned early on in my wig journey that I really, really hate wigs that don't have lace fronts or monofilament side parts, and Jackson has neither. Peppermint is the closest cut and style I've found to Jackson─plus she has a lace front and a mono side part!

From watching wig reviews of Peppermint, my one concern was that she wouldn't deliver on top volume, and my third nonstarter is a flat-on-top wig. Peppermint arrived flat as a pancake on top. Thankfully, she's heat friendly, so I sprayed water on her and gave her a good blowout. She looks a little less flat, but she's no Jackson when it comes to that all-important voluminous top.

When I went to comb Peppermint out I discovered that she had two long brown threads that looped through her cap. I couldn't pull these threads out, so I cut them as short a I could, leaving me with four very short brown threads protruding from the cap. :(

Lastly, there isn't quite enough hair density in the crown of Peppermint to cover the open wefts. If a few hairs were to become misplaced, the wefts would definitely show. If ever a wig could have used a generous amount of permatease or else more hair in the crown, it's Peppermint.

I'm still searching for a more realistic version of Jackson.
