Decline in Quality of Miranda
Posted by Karen on Jul 3rd 2019
This is my third Miranda and while I know no two wigs are exactly the same, the difference in quality between this one and my first two is very noticeable. First, she fits very tight. Out of all of my other 8 Jon Renau’s (all average caps) she is the tightest. Her side coverage, as a result, is significantly less than my other 2 Mirandas. She also has less hair (density) and more short broken hairs on the top.
I wear Miranda as my every day wig and keep my more expensive wigs for evening or weekend plans. After receiving Kaia in Laguna blonde I loved the colour so much I wanted to pick up a Miranda in the same for summer. I like the length of the layers and the style on Miranda and I would spend more for theses features if it meant better quality. (Please Jon Renau!) I considered switching to Gisele this time but didn’t want the shorter bang, and Adriana was not available in Laguna Blonde. I had also read some poor reviews on Adriana, speaking to her decline in quality as well.
I am disappointed and frustrated in the drop in quality in the Miranda. It can be risky ordering wigs online but because of my past two Miranda purchases I was not expecting to have any issues. I have heard form other reviews that styles can decline in quality when they have been around for some time. I unfortunately think this may be happening with Miranda. I will be keeping an eye out for other reviews to see if others are having a similar experience before taking a chance on her again.
In terms of a review of Laguna Blonde, I love this colour. The past few years the trend has been towards the cooler blondes, and even greys. I found this colour a refreshing change, especially for summer. Warm but not a strawberry blonde. The 24 seems less golden than in JR’s Honey Syrup. A golden summer blonde with copious 102 highlights. I love the lighter 12 root which results in a more realistic lace front than the famous 12FS8.
