First, let me say that I love Joshua wigs as a business, and that this is in no way a reflection on them. They are fast, with good products, and they even send a sweet card with your purchase. But this particular wig did not work out for me. I blame the maker's pics, which make it look smooth with side bangs when it is shaggy with dramatically flipped ends and a front section that has volume (permatease?) and flips to one side.
The front of this is much longer than it looks; ....I often trim the bangs of wigs, without problem, but not this time (and since I attempted it with Seville, I've read two other reviews saying "don't try to cut the bangs..")
You cannot trim them, as with other wigs. They stick straight out when you do.. Add to that, there is a real mass of hair here--lots more than most wigs...and the bottom of it flips up in different directions rather than a slight and smooth curve on the ends as in the pic. Some people like lots of hair and the casual looking ends, but it just didn't work for me at all.
Add to the too-much hair and hair in front that went high, long. and to the side, there were layered pieces where individual hairs stuck out and could not be smoothed down... I think it's just the way the layers were cut, but they looked flyaway, Maybe if I had a steamer, I could have saved it, but I don't as I've never had a use for one before (I did see one reviewerttonight say hers was okay after she steamed it.)
Again,I love to order from Joshua Wigs. Iit's just this particular stye-- I ordered it at a good price, but for the reasons above, I ended up having to dispose of it...my own fault for not realizing the length of the bangs.and not noticing how thick and shaggy the style was.
After I ruined it by trimming the bangs (live and learn), I wore it once with a cloth headband to keep the sticking-out bangs smoothed down and then gave up. Chalk it up to a learning experience.
Best I have found

The Seville is the best wig I have found so far. The color(Creamy Toffee-R) is great for blonds. I cut the length a little...but the volume is very realistic. The only tricky thing is the bangs. I do cut them a bit, but sometimes stick out funny...but I use my steamer and all is good!
